Akiyo: The Teacher & Practitioner

When the student is ready the teacher appears.

I have been a massage therapist since 2005.   

I met the founder of Jureichi, Victoria Liu. I became a Jureichi practitioner after 3 years of intensive training under Victoria's tutelage.

I started my Jureichi practice volunteering at a women & children's group home. I provided free Jureichi treatments to support their healing journey and helped their recovery.

I met a brilliant Bowenwork practitioner at a New Year's party.  He told me that head concussions can be treated with Bowenwork.  I witnessed the effectiveness of Bowen.  When funding was available, I started taking classes.  In 2013, I became a Bowenwork Practitioner. I continued my Bowen education with Bowenwork for Women, Baby Bowen, Mind-Body Bowen, etc.  In 2017, I became an associate teacher of the American Bowen Academy. 

I teach Introductory Bowen Classes. It is a 4 hour class.  You will learn basic hand positioning and techniques.
